This week, our trip to the orchards in Missouri yielded 3 more varieties: Cameo--a sweet/tart and CAA-RUNCHY eating apple, plus red and golden delicious. We also have Jona-gold--cross between Jonathan and Golden Delicious that is excellent for eating or cooking, Early Fuji--a great eating apple (good for cooking if you add a touch of lemon juice), Gala, Jonathan, and Granny Smith. All $1.89 lb. and we have bushels available.
We have the last batch of Idaho peaches arriving today (Oct 2) that should be ripe by Sunday or Monday. On the same truck are some more of those Washington Honeycrisp apples @ $1.89 lb.
On the way to the orchards, I stopped by the Amish produce auctions and got more pumpkins, squash, and mixed pumpkins. They also had some very nice homegrown tomatoes and peppers I was able to bring back!
